Material Introduction: PA6 YUEHUA YH800I (Hunan Yuehua) is a medium‑viscosity, low‑warpage, high‑rigidity injection‑molding PA6 resin with excellent electrical properties and wear resistance. It delivers good mechanical strength and thermal performance, yet it is hygroscopic. Moisture content shall be kept below 0.07%, and sufficient drying is required before processing.

Automotive lightweight parts: Engine intake manifolds, engine hood covers, EV battery supports, charging‑gun housings (resist cracking under‑40℃~120℃ thermal cycles).

Injection Molding Parameters

Processing Item Recommended Range / Condition Notes & Explanations
Drying Treatment Hot‑air drying at 80‑100 ℃ for at least 4‑6 h; vacuum drying preferred. Critical operation. Keep moisture ≤0.1% to avoid hydrolysis, bubbles, silver streaks and strength degradation.
Melt Temperature 230‑280 ℃ general range. Depends on equipment and articles. Do not exceed 300 ℃; avoid long residence at high temperature.
Mold Temperature 60‑80 ℃ for most parts. Mold temperature affects crystallinity; proper mold temperature ensures good appearance and mechanical performance.
Injection Pressure 60‑100 MPa, adjust per product & mold design. Adjust according to product structure and wall thickness.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed. Faster speed facilitates cavity filling.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa (5‑10 kgf/cm²). Proper back‑pressure homogenizes melt and improves venting.

Runner & Gate Oversized runner and gate are not allowed, yet dimensions shall not be too small. PA6 solidifies fast; sufficiently large gate ensures smooth filling.
